If that picture from Pixar's Wall-E looks somewhat familiar in all its white glory, it is because it's design was developed in part by Apple's own Jonathon Ive. He was called in as a consultant to the process. Here is an interesting comment from Ive:
I wanted Eve to be high-end technology - no expense spared - and I wanted it to be seamless and for the technology to be sort of hidden and subcutaneous. The more I started describing it, the more I realized I was pretty much describing the Apple playbook for design.

There was a post on Mac Rumors that a developer has activated an On/Off option that enables 3G speeds on the latest iPhone 2.0 Beta 5 distributed to developers. Evidently the preference is hidden and will not work on current iPhones … so dig deep for that new iPhone that is coming …. but be aware that enabling the option will most likely dramatically increase power consumption. I guess that is why there is the On/Off option so you can fall back to EDGE. Too bad there is not a bigger battery or better still, a user replaceable battery.

Singapore Telecommunications, aka SingTel, announced that it scored the iPhone distribution deal for four countries - Singapore, India, Australia, and Philippines. The Southeast Asia's largest phone company said Apple's handset will be offered through SingTel Mobile in Singapore, and it's partly-owned subsidiaries in Australia (Optus), India (Bharti Group), and the Philippines (Globe Telecom). No dates were given, though.
Now it's seems official - Apple's exclusive country deals are out. In Italy, TIM and Vodafone are carrying the iPhone, while Vodafone will be competing with SingTel's subsidiaries in Australia and India.

Lately there have been various rumors going on around the Internet claiming that a 3G model of iPhone is in the works. Clearly we can assume that something fishy is going on inside Apple as the current models of iPhone have been short on supply and iPhones are also no longer available in UK.
It is very clear from the facts that a new model of iPhone is soon coming out and MacRumors has just the report to back this up.
