The magazine says, as Burton noted, that the art is intended as satire. In an interview with the Huffington Post's Rachel Sklar, editor David Remnick said: I ran the cover because I thought it had something to say. What I think it does is hold up a mirror to the prejudice and dark imaginings about Barack Obama's -- both Obamas' -- past, and their politics.

Taken altogether, this means Sen. Obama has picked up +11 to Clinton's +0 since the last update , putting him finally in the superdelegate lead . In addition, John Edwards, despite his recent claim of neutrality , now suggests he voted Obama , and even Clinton canary-in-the-coalmine Rahm Emanuel is now calling Obama "the presumptive nominee ," even if he says he's not endorsing yet. In other words, the party is now backing Obama , and the Fat Lady is practicing her scales. (Clinton, of course, remains in denial .

Much of what we're seeing and hearing focuses on speculation -- what might happen. What we are seeing happening is a trend in super delegates. Tuesday evening David Gergen said on CNN that we would likely see a steady stream of super delegates coming out for Obama. So far he's right. Hillary has picked up a few delegates, mainly congressional representatives who said they would back the candidate that won their district. Obama, who picked up about 9 more today, is starting to pull off former Clinton supporters and now is either ahead, just slightly behind, or tied with her for super delegates.

To the surprise of probably no one, Sen. Obama has pulled ahead of Sen. Clinton in the number of superdelegates .
Senator Barack Obama has passed his opponent, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, in the count of superdelegates, the first time since the outset of the race that Mrs. Clinton has lost the lead in one of her few remaining trump cards.
Mr. Obama picked up endorsements on Friday from four more superdelegates, the Democratic Party insiders who are granted autonomy to support whomever they wish at the convention in August.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has surged ahead of rival Hillary Clinton in superdelegates and erased her once commanding lead.
The NYT's reports :
Obama racked up seven new endorsements in the last 24 hours from superdelegates.
The tally shows Barack Obama with 266 superdelegates against 263 for Hillary Clinton, based on telephone polls conducted with CBS News as well as public endorsements.
Obama picked up the support of New Jersey Rep.

Yesterday I noted that presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama had pulled within 8.5 superdelegates of Clinton per the count at Politico . The stampede away from Clinton continues and this morning Obama only trails by 3.5 superdelegates by their count. (The half comes from Americans abroad where there are four delegates with one-half vote each, and one remains uncommitted.)
Due to uncertainty as to where each superdelegate stands, different news organizations have different numbers. By ABC's count, Obama has taken the lead over Clinton 267-265.

To quote Stephen Colbert, "I called it." Here .
I said that Obama passing Clinton in superdelegates would take away the final arrow in the Clinton quiver so that even her upcoming wins in WV and KY would likely be (mostly) ignored.
NyTimes and ABCNews have Obama as of today passing Clinton.
First Read has Obama within 4 . He has picked up net 7 just today. And doing so on Friday adds further talking points for the Sunday talk shows.
And one other big superdelegate on the horizon (with himself 30+ other delegates pledged to him he could release)?
