I doubt if McCain has the sense of entitlement that HRC had but he's going to run on experience, and we don't want experience, we want intelligence, honesty and change. ...

On The Today Show this morning, Terry McAuliffe predicted the Democratic nominee will be known by early June.
"It'll be over early June," McAuliffe said. "We've all said we'll be together at the end. If Hillary doesn't win, Hillary, (former) President (Bill) Clinton, myself, we'll be over there helping Senator Obama. And, likewise, Senator Obama will come together to help Hillary if she's the nominee."
Despite the brave face McAuliffe and other Clinton surrogates and campaign officials are projecting in public, however, Lawrence O'Donnell says the campaign officials he's spoken to are privately resigned to the conclusion that it will be Hillary Clinton conceding the nomination to Barack Obama in June, not the other way around.

Lawrence O'Donnell, writing in The Huffington Post , says he has talked with a "senior" Clinton campaign official who told him Senator Hillary Clinton will quit the Presidential race by June 15. Fact or not?
Today Clinton vowed to stay in the race "until there is a nominee."
O'Donnell writes:

Lawrence O'Donnell has the scoop on what seems to me the most likely scenario for how this finally plays out:
[T]he Clinton campaign plan is to collect as many votes and delegates as they can right through June 3, then take no more than a week or so to make their case to the superdelegates. Nothing he said indicated that he actually expected the superdelegates to move to Hillary in the week after the final election. The Clinton campaign has not lost its grip on reality. Yes, Clinton spokespersons publicly seem to be lost on gravity-free planet Clinton, but privately they know the end is near.

Remember when "inevitability" was the buzzword around Hillary Clinton's campaign? After last night's drubbing by Obama in North Carolina and squeaking out a win in Indiana, Clinton's fortunes seem to have turned . Drastically. Slate's "Hillary Deathwatch" puts her chance at winning the nomination at an all-time low of 4.2 percent , and an array of pundits say "it's basically over." At Huffington Post, Lawrence O'Donnell essentially gets a top Clinton staffer to say Hillary will drop out by June 15, but it seems a Washington Craigslist poster thinks it'll happen sooner than that:

I kept saying, "So, Hillary will drop out by June 15," and he kept saying, "We will have a nominee by June 15." He stressed what a reasonable person Hillary is.
Everything about our conversation implied that he had already had this reality-based discussion with Hillary.

Remember when Mike Huckabee refused to drop out of the GOP race until John McCain had officially won the nomination? Even though it was literally impossible that Mike Huckabee would win the GOP nomination, he stayed in. Now Hillary Clinton's advisor's are suggesting the same thing - that she will stay in until June 3rd (or longer) when Obama will have enough delegates to officially be the Democratic nominee. This, despite the fact that it has been mathematically impossible for Clinton to win the nomination for months now.

I wrote about Senator Clinton's campaign the other day , showing how I think she's jumped the shark. Well, author and blogger (and cool guy) John Scalzi hits the nail in the head , and that nail should be the last one in the coffin of Clinton's campaign. I fear it won't be, though; as I said she is running on nothing else but ego now, and I'm worried that even if the DNC tries to move her, she still won't budge. After all, she's still claiming she has momentum or come-up-from-behindedness or some other manufactured spin.

Lawrence O'Donnell wrote The Huffington Post A senior campaign official and Clinton confidante has told me that there will be a Democratic nominee by June 15. I am sure you will. The question is whether it will be the same person selected in August at the Convention. The press has been poshung very hard for Clinton to drop out so Obama can have the nomination, but she just does not know how to quit. She may pretend to suspend her campaign (not stop it), but her stooges will keep throwing mud at Obama hoping something will stick, and she will launch a floor fight at the convention, just like Kennedy did against Carter, and she will have a lot more elected delegates than he had, and just because the super delegates go for Obama by June 15 does not mean they can't change their minds in August.

It does when you consider that once Sen. Clinton began to see her presumed destiny slip away, the attacks by her campaign against him began. If her aim is to win the nomination, it gets mathematically more impossible every day. There certainly is no reason for her to cling on another month until June 15 . Her "big" win in Indiana yesterday owed more to the GOP dirty trick squad who are afraid to have the stronger candidate face off against McCain in November.

Social: what if no one were fat? This interesting article discusses how much money we, as a society, would save on fuel, food, medicine and the like.
We'd save billions of dollars in gas. Airlines would double their profits. A dearth of diabetes and other diseases would save billions of dollars more -- and put thousands of doctors on the street. McDonald's would sell not Big Macs but little steamed chicken snacks -- or watch its profits melt away. Productivity would rise, potentially creating tens of thousands more jobs or higher wages all around.

hort of Sen. Barack Obama disappearing off the face of the Earth, the Democratic Party counting all the Florida and Michigan delegates' votes, her winning every remaining primary, getting a sudden influx of money and benefiting from a wholesale defection of Obama superdelegates, Sen. Hillary Clinton can't win.
Yet, Clinton intends to go on campaigning for the presidential nomination, at least to the beginning of June , before leaving the race June 15, according to Lawrence O'Donnell.
Especially since many of her major contributors are maxed out, she's already loaned her campaign a staggering $11.

It's no longer a question of if the Clinton machine will be dismantled, but when. A "senior campaign official" told The Huffington Post's Lawrence O'Donnell it will be no later than June 15 .
